Purple Oaks Community Outreach has partnered with Reading Is Fundamental; a national program that is committed to a literate America by inspiring a passion for reading among all children, providing quality content to make an impact and engaging communities in the solution to give every child the fundamentals for success. As the nation’s largest children’s literacy non-profit, Reading Is Fundamental maximizes every contribution to ensure all children have the ability to read and succeed.

Mentoring

Purple Oaks Community Outreach mentoring program is designed to improve the quality of life for at-risk males and females. We expect to improve their chances of success by reassuring them towards success in education, highlighting the seriousness of ethics, values, morals, and spirituality. We are 100% committed to empowering our youth to become socially and economically responsible for our society.

Community Programs

Purple Oaks Community Outreach has several programs that serve to meet the needs of children and adults in our community. These include reading programs for children and teens, literacy programs for adults, and physical education programs for children.

Scholarship Application

Every student deserves an opportunity to be successful. We work closely with community supporters and generous donors to provide the right scholarship opportunities for deserving students in East Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools. It is our number one priority to ensure those students who are motivated and able to go to college have the financial resources to do so.
